Equipment Upgrades

If you have the funds, then perhaps you want to consider some of the available upgrades such as a variable-speed pump, which will not only save you on your electricity, but will also keep your pool cleaner. Variable-speed pumps operate regularly at a lower speed, then increases it’s speed when the water needed. In addition, the majority of variable-speed pumps produce less noise when they are operating at lower speed.

Another upgrade you may consider is a pool heater, which could extend your swimming season, or you may want to think about purchasing a motorized pool cover that at a flip of a switch will automatically extend or rollback the cover.

Upgrades do cost more, but they can also enhance your pool’s aesthetics as well as making it more convenient to maintain and use. It is important for you to realize that if you want but cannot afford all of these upgraded amenities, you can always add some of these features later, whereas other such amenities, such as an in-floor cleaning system, have to be installed during the initial construction of the pool.

Other such amenities many pool owners do not considered as upgrades, even though they are. These would include water care systems such as a salt chlorine generator. This device keeps the pool sanitized and eliminates the need for the pool owner to handle the sanitizing chemicals. Still, other pool owners would rather use weekly chlorine pucks instead of performing the required quarterly maintenance on the chlorine generator cell.

Other amenities you may you may want to consider when building your pool include the installation of a stone or brick decking or even adding additional deck space, which can offer more room for sunbathing, play, or even parties. Other upgrades can enhance the appearance of your pool area, such as grottos, caves, or even cascading waterfalls. The important part, when you design your swimming pool, first look at your budget then decide what upgrades or amenities you want, can afford and which ones that you want that must be installed or at least plumbed in during construction.

By planning ahead, you can create a swimming pool that will fulfill yours and your family’s dreams.
